Racemark, originally named B&B Motors, was founded in 1964 by Bob Bailey, current Chairman & Co-CEO. During his years racing as a world-class driver for the Porsche of America racing team, Bob became friends with the late Mark Donohue, a winner of the Indianapolis 500. In 1972, Bob and Mark both took their racing and engineering experience to the business world through Racemark International.
The company began selling specialty racing equipment and performance accessories such as customized roll bars, Fypro and Nomex driving suits, racing safety equipment, racing steering wheels and suspension components. Racemark began manufacturing coco floor mats in 1972 and created the first luxury carpeted floor mat in the marketplace in 1975.
